Costa Careyes Where To Eat

Family Eating Dinner Together

Costa Alegre – Where To Eat Open-air, palapa-shielded Playa Rosa Beach Club, in the center of the namesake beach, is the main meeting point in Careyes, where everyone gathers for morning coffee and breakfast; midday margaritas (ask for a volcanic-salt rim) at the hibiscus-pink cocktail and juice bar; and Mediterranean-meets-Mexican (think fritto misto and fresh tuna tostadas) at the plywood picnic tables lining the grass. Stroll to the end of the beach, up the stairs through the casitas, and into the neighboring El Careyes Club & Residences to dine poolside at La Duna (the menu of modern Mexican can also be ordered at the sun loungers). Or, sidle up to Shiō’s intimate, nine-seat sushi bar, where the omakase menu shifts with what the cooperative of more than 60 local fishers catch that week. Careyes may only have seven restaurants, but you’ll quickly find your favorite and get in the habit of off-roading along dirt paths through the jungle toward “downtown” to reach it. One of the best for dinner is hippie-chic Casa de Nada on Playa Teopa, where evenings start with sunset cocktails on hammocks and continue with tapas like fish al pastor taquitos. A popular spot for breakfast is La Coscolina in Plaza de los Caballeros del Sol (the town square), where you can sample classics like chilaquiles or keep up a health kick with superfood smoothies and fresh juices. Be sure to pop in the Careyes Art Space next door and browse the exhibition of the latest Mexican artist-in-residence. During high season, the only fine-dining option in town is open-kitchen Pueblo25, which serves locally sourced, organic dishes and hosts private, wine-fueled dinners and themed events around seasonal events like Chinese New Year. The new Lilo Beach Club on Playa Careyitos is also soon opening an oceanfront, Mediterranean-influenced Mexican restaurant in collaboration with the team behind Mexico City’s Lardo and Bella Aurora—and it’s sure to be an instant favorite for sunset. A rental car is the best way to get around Careyes unless you’re staying near Playa Rosa Beach Club, where accommodations include El Careyes Club & Residences and Casitas de las Flores, Mexican-style, one- to four-bedroom homes that mimic the mismatched, jewel box-colored buildings piled on top of one another in Italy’s Cinque Terre. If you want to be right on the beach, stay in one of the three, thatched-roof oceanfront bungalows at Playa Rosa Beach Club. The most spacious is bright-pink bungalow three, with a private terrace overlooking the sea perfect for enjoying morning coffee, sunset drinks, or stargazing in the evenings—one of the perks of Careyes’s strict light pollution rules in place to protect nesting turtles on the beach.  Latest Article Torre Del Cielo Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Torre Del Cielo Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Candelabros Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa candelabros Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Aries Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Aries Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Altiplano Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Altiplano Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa La Escondida Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa La Escondida Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casita Gardenia Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casita Gardenia Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Palomir Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Palomir Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE

Costa Careyes What To Do

Adventurous Woman Paddling on a Paddle Board in a peaceful lake.

Costa Alegre – What To Do Head down to Playa Rosa before breakfast for a swim. There’s no better way start to the day! There’s also a pink bar you can’t miss right there on the beach where they make fresh fruit juices every morning. You can also start the day with a yoga class in Casa Corazón surrounded by the jungle. This costs 200 MXN or $12 USD. Rent a boat for a few hours, which of course the concierge will sort out, for $ 80 USD an hour. Witness Careyes from the sea! Get picked up in Playa Rosa after breakfast, go to Paraiso (beach), and come back for lunch. About 20 minutes away from Careyes there’s are a few beaches called Careyitos, Piratas and Arroyo Seco where you can go surfing. Remember, it’s the Pacific – the waves are perfect for just that! Drive over to Copa del Sol to watch the sunset and get ready to be awed. Don’t forget to the most important element: a cooler with drinks! I also love to get take out at night from one of the restaurants and drive to La Copa to see the stars. Teopa is a 6 km-long virgin beach with nothing and no one. Afternoon walks there are surreal, you’ll be the only one there. Make your way to the turtle sanctuary located on the left hand corner of the beach. When the eggs have hatched the newborns are released on the beach to make their way to the sea at around sunset. You’ll see hundred of baby turtles! You can’t leave Careyes without seeing Mi Ojo, Tigre del Mar and Oriente – three of Careyes’ most iconic houses! The concierge organizes all of this for you, for free. Spend the day lounging on the palm tree mats with a book in Playa Rosa. I also love to just spend the day by the pool sipping margaritas de Jamaica listening to music and chilling with friends! Go horseback riding on the beach around sunset – Careyes has over 80 polo ponies. The ride costs $100 USD and it’s very much worth it. If it’s polo season (during November, December and Easter) head over to the polo fields, located just before Teopa, after lunch. Have a drink and mingle! There are usually dinners and parties organized in the horse stables and in some of the houses, that everyone is free to join – they’re very fun and a great chance to take a peek inside. Careyes can be as active or as chill as you want it to be. The great thing about the concierge is that they make everything happen at the snap of your fingers and if it’s Easter, Chinese New Years, December or something of the sort – there will be parties or drinks or dinners happening somewhere every single night and everyone is always invited. It’s also Mexico – meaning you can arrive late, confirm attendance last minute, not confirm, go for five minutes, or sleep over(kidding not kidding).   Latest Article Torre Del Cielo Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Torre Del Cielo Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Candelabros Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa candelabros Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Aries Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Aries Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Altiplano Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Altiplano Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa La Escondida Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa La Escondida Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casita Gardenia Costa Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casita Gardenia Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE Casa Palomir Careyes Costa Careyes Villas For Rent Costa Alegre Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Palomir Costa Careyes Pacific… READ MORE

Costa Careyes Jalisco Mexico

Costa Alegre – Pacific Mexican Coast Every detail about this place has a reason for being and every element of its formation is surreal: rooms have smooth, rounded corners; every window and terrace has been designed to frame the ocean; the colors of the houses play tricks on your subconscious and inspire pleasure (I’m not even kidding); odes to man and women, like Copa del Sol, can be found in remote corners, and nature preservation is religion. Houses have hidden architectural gems like a hand-woven nest that is perfect for reading; a hot pink, circular patio built just to appreciate a colossal boulder, and mischievous trails that have no purpose other than to make you walk through a beautiful ambush of lavish bougainvilleas. Take an hour and a half flight from Mexico City to Manzanillo, rent a car and drive an hour up the coast to Careyes. You can’t get lost, it’s almost a straight line there. International flights arrive in Puerto Vallarta but the drive to Careyes is 3 hours long so the layover in Mexico City is worth it! There are no addresses in Careyes, only house names. You will never lose your way though – the staff of the houses know every single name there is to be known and they have their numbers in case you have friends are staying elsewhere! Careyes is truly surreal. And all the houses you can rent are managed by an impeccable concierge. Prices range depending on the season and the size of the the house but it starts off at $350 USD a night for a beautiful one or two bedroom casita with the whole five start treatment: an ocean view, daily cleaning, making your bed and serving you breakfast. There are also four bungalows directly on Playa Rosa which depending on the seasons start at $320 USD per night. The private houses and ocean castles that have 360° infinity pools and a full staff so that you don’t have to lift a finger, fit anywhere from 6 to 14 people and they start at $3,000 USD per night. You can’t go wrong no matter which house, beach bungalow or casita you rent as they all have incredible views of the ocean. On a good day, during whale migration season (mid December till end of March) you can even see the whales swimming from your bed. Careyes is so small (8 kilometers) that location is not a problem, you’ll always be central. Home-cooked meals are the most delicious choice as all the houses come with a fantastic cook. However, to spice things up you have a few alternatives! Have lunch one day at Playa Rosa – it is spectacular. A bottle of rosé and freshly made pasta with shrimp alá Tres Chiles is a must. For healthy salads and paninis or a hearty breakfast, La Coscolina, in Plaza de los Caballeros, is the place for you. If you’re in the mood for meat or pizza, Punto.Como is where you want to head. It’s across the square from La Coscolina. If you’re in the mood for a fresh Asian food menu with a Mexican twist on the beach, head over to Cocodrilo Azul. You’ll eat on the beach and dance around the bonfire after dinner! Make sure you ask the concierge first as they’re not open all year round! Dress up a little to go out – the hippier chic the better! Zip Line Puerto Vallarta

Highly Rated Ziplines in Puerto Vallarta Are you looking to add a little excitement to your beach vacation? We’re here to help you do just that with a round-up of the best ziplines in Puerto Vallarta – all with consistent 5-star reviews! While Puerto Vallarta is most famous for being a beach town – there’s so much more to it than that! The Sierra Madre mountains are the backdrop of the city, and they provide the perfect playground for exciting activities like horseback riding, ATV tours, and ziplining. Get ready to soar through the air with a serious adrenaline rush on these Puerto Vallarta ziplines!   Extreme Adventure Tour This experience is among the most popular tours for a zipline experience in PV, and for good reason. That’s because the zip lines are only a fraction of the fun you’ll have on this tour. It starts with a trip to the jungle, where you’ll strap in and zoom across seven different ziplines. This includes the country’s longest and fastest zip lines, Superman style! As if that isn’t enough excitement, this tour also includes a specially designed off-road course that you can tackle in a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle). When you finish up with that, it’s time to rip down the hillside waterslide. Hopefully, you’ve still got some gas left in the tank because there’s still rappeling, hanging bridges, and a giant swing. Oh yeah, and the wind tunnel indoor skydiving. There’s that, too… If you’re not familiar with the experience, it’s all the fun of skydiving without having to, you know, jump out of a moving airplane. This is a good warm-up for those considering taking the plunge and skydiving in Puerto Vallarta.   Los Veranos Canopy Tour When it comes to the best Puerto Vallarta ziplines, the folks at Los Vernos really deliver the goods on this tour. They were the first to open back in 2002, and they lay claim to the largest zipline canopy in North America. The adventure actually starts before you even strap in, as you have the option to add a speedboat ride to get you to the start of the tour. This place boasts 15 different lines spanning 1,450 feet (442 meters). The adventure begins by going from treetop to treetop, and the ziplines get longer and faster as you go along. This truly is one of the best canopy tours in Puerto Vallarta! It all builds up to the final zipline, where you and a partner can race to the finish line. Everyone is a winner here, as you’ll both end up in their riverfront bar and restaurant, where free tequila tastings await! After that, you’re free to enjoy the water-slide, swim in the natural pools of the river, or hop in a kayak. There’s an animal sanctuary here as well that’s home to monkeys, iguanas, and a variety of birds.  Outdoor Zipline Adventure This jam-packed tour starts out with a boat trip over to Boca de Tomatlan. From there, you’ll hop in a 4×4 Unimog jeep for the journey up the mountain. Upon arrival in the heart of the mountains, it’s time to jump on a mule that will take you the rest of the way. Finally, you’ll get to strap in and fly across their incredible zip line course. This includes their new roller coaster zip line, which has the twists and turns of an actual coaster. That’s not all, though. This tour also includes rappelling down waterfalls, crossing lush jungle bridges, and the highest water slide drop in all of Mexico. It’s an adrenaline junkie’s dream come true!   ATV Zipline Combo Tour For those hoping to add an ATV ride to their Puerto Vallarta itinerary, this is the tour for you. It starts out cruising through PV through Centro and then heads up into the lush Sierra Madre mountains. The ATV ride takes you all the way to the Canopy River Park. This is where you’ll begin one of the best ziplines in Puerto Vallarta. Soar between the mountains and above the river on their 11 different zip lines and enjoy the views. While you’re out here, you also have the option to walk across the impressive Jorullo Bridge, which is the longest hanging bridge in the world. Just to be clear, this is not included in the tour and requires an additional ticket paid at Canopy River. The tour ends with a short mule ride back up the canyon. They also provide complimentary photos and videos of the ATV portion of the tour, so you’ll have a nice keepsake to remember it by.   Latest Article Casa Punta Del Cielo Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Punta Del Cielo Puerto Vallarta Pacific… READ MORE Hacienda De Los Santos Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Hacienda De Los Santos Puerto Vallarta Pacific… READ MORE Villa Castillo Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Villa Castillo Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Casa Morada Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Morada Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Casa Yvonneka Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Villa Yvonneka Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Villa Ventura Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Villa Ventura Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Villa Verde Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Villa Verde Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Casa San Sebastian Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Casa San Sebastian Puerto Vallarta Pacific… READ MORE Casa Damae Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Casa Damae Puerto Vallarta Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE Villa Los Arcos Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta Villas For Rent Mexican Pacific coastline Villa Los Arcos Puerto VallartA Pacific Oceanfront… READ MORE

Conchas Chinas Puerto Vallarta

Curious about Conchas Chinas Puerto Vallarta? Conchas Chinas Puerto Vallarta is one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city, with a backdrop of beautiful rolling mountains, turquoise waters, and dreamy vacation homes steps from the golden-sand beaches. This picturesque and exclusive area is a true gem of the city, offering a blend of natural beauty, luxury, and charm that captivates every visitor. Conchas Chinas is just south of the Romantic Zone on Highway 200. On the way down to other towns like Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan, the first neighborhood you pass is Conchas Chinas. It’s about a ten-minute drive from Zona Romantica. Due to its geography, this neighborhood is quite different from the other areas in Puerto Vallarta. It’s mostly a collection of gated communities perched on the hillside. There are some condos down by the beach and a handful of hotels. This is definitely one of the more exclusive, affluent neighborhoods of Puerto Vallarta. We’re talking million-dollar homes! It’s well out of our price range for most expats living in Puerto Vallarta, but it is fun to dream about living here! As far as the name goes, it actually means “Chinese Shells.” It’s not like there are shells from China on the beach here, though, so what’s the deal? Apparently, “chino” also means “curvy.” Grab some shells when you hit the beach here and see if you find them to be curvy. I was just disappointed to get down there and not find any dumplings or noodles. This little slice of Puerto Vallarta is famous for its beach. First of all, you’ve got the rolling green Sierra Madre mountains in the background. Swim out a little and turn around for a fantastic view of the ocean, beach, and mountains all in one. You’ll also find natural tidal pools here. These are formed in between the rocky outcrops and are fun to sit in, like some sort of natural Jacuzzi. Plus, it’s a solid opportunity to get that perfect snap for the ‘gram. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic place to stay, Conchas Chinas is an excellent choice. If you don’t mind traveling to find restaurants and bars (or just using Uber Eats), you’ll love it here. Especially if you’re looking for a luxury vacation!
